Turks & Caicos/Beaches Resort Vacation did not disappoint! Our entire family had a marvelous time made seamless by Amanda's hard work prior and during the trip - the photographer called her "boss lady", lovingly, I think, but we knew who was in charge and were fine with it. From getting us all checked in at the airport including all our luggage to knowing what pictures we wanted and which day we should go to the beach, the pool, the water park, etc. and which restaurants we should go to, she kept us organized and on point! We appreciated that so much. Travel couldn't have been better - no plane delays - good flights.
We had wonderful weather - full sun except the first day which was sun and clouds, but we certainly absorbed plenty of sun over the 6 days.
In the room, we followed tradition by playing Crazy 8's, Trash and a little poker along with checkers. We upgraded to Ocean Front rooms this time and had large balconies - we spent a lot of time out there enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the beautiful view. The kids enjoy having their own personal rooms and slept well - Garrison slept until 10 a.m. most mornings - around the clock!
We went to the beach twice, Garrison, Amanda and Chad constructed a fantastic sand castle including shells on the borders. We enjoyed the pool and swim up bar several times. We made it to the water park this year - Amanda and Garrison loved the slide and we had fun in the lazy river.
Drinks - both virgin and not-so-much virgin - were again fantastic! Peyton discovered Mojito's this year - Miami Vice was again a favorite - chunky monkey - 12 days (strong).
So much good food - I must have eaten 5 lbs of bacon at breakfasts - Garrison got his eggs to order - omelets - pastries - pancakes - fruit - eggs - hash browns - you name it - sooooo good. We made it to Bobby Dee's for lunch this year (grandparents and grandkids while parents went on a lunch date) good burgers and fries - parents went to Neptunes and we went there for dinner as a family. The best food this time was at the French restaurant, LePetite, where we fudged Garrison's age a big (had to be 12 and he's 11 1/2) - best filet ever along with other fantastic foods and creme bruelee. Yum. Lots of good seafood, steaks, burgers, pastas, on and on. Peyton joined her parents at Sky this year - Garrison went with us to Bayside for a great buffet. Chocolate night was a hit. We did NOT go to Bombay - Garrison loved teasing me that we would go every day! I hated Bombay last year.
Amanda, Peyton and I went to the Spa for facials - so much fun and relaxation.
We enjoyed being together 24/7 for 6 days - loving the uninterrupted time.
I'm sure I missed something, but all in all, our fourth time to go to this resort in the last 10 years was great, great, great.
We are blessed.
