Grammy's Delight
It was my privilege to spend a couple of days in Olathe with Peyton, Amanda, Chad and Apollo. Amanda had a doctor's appointment on Monday for her 6-week post-partum check-up (can you believe Peyton is 6 weeks old), so Grammy had the honor of taking care of Peyton in the waiting room. Before the appointment, we made a quick trip to BabiesR Us and Sam's Club (she slept), and afterward, we went to The Olive Garden for lunch. Amanda was excited to be released to go back to the gym after an absence of several months while carrying Peyton. I made the ultimate sacrifice and offered to stay at home with Peyton while Amanda went to the gym - ha ha. It was absolutely fantastic. Not a sacrifice at all - more like an honor! And then, luck struck twice - Amanda went back to the gym on Tuesday, and Peyton and I got to bond "alone" again!!!! Peyton was a little fussy on Tuesday and had difficulty taking a very long nap, but she was feeling better around noon, so we all ran some errands while she slept in her car seat before I headed back to Clinton (she likes the car as long as it is moving). What a blessing to get to spend time with my two favorite girls in the world! I'm one lucky Grammy! I love them so very much and love spending time with them. I've only been home two hours, but I miss them already. It was nice seeing Apollo too - he's not exactly sure what is going on. I appreciate Chad sharing his girls with me for a couple of days.
We enjoyed having you! So glad you have your blog up and running! :)
