After Ron and I attended the beautiful wedding of Sissy Wetzel and Derek Drysdale, it was our privilege to have Peyton join us for the reception at the Carriage Club, close to the Plaza. Amanda and Chad had dinner plans with friends, so we were thrilled to have Peyton with us for the evening. After a period of adjustment, Peyton enjoyed watching all the people, listening to the band and just hanging out at our table with our friends. Toward the end of the evening, she was even "giving 5" to Dennis and Debbie! Grammy and Grandpa enjoyed showing her off to all the Clinton folks in attendance - we are so very proud of her. Dr. Kenney - who was Amanda's doctor from birth - marveled at how much Peyton looks like Amanda did as a baby. The 3 of us left the reception around 9:00 p.m. and went to Peyton's house. She was happy to get into her pj's and to bed - around an hour and a half later than usual. Grammy and Grandpa spent the night and traveled back to Clinton on Sunday morning in time for church. We had a blast - thanks for spending your evening with us Peyton.
