First Week of October 2015
It was "go through stuff" week at 1009 Trevino! I spent a afternoon going through Mom's trunk - which was her parents' trunk - found a lot of old photos, some of which I have no idea who the people are and straightened up some keepsakes. Actually purged a few things - you're welcome Amanda - and enjoyed reminiscing. I spent two afternoons going through old pictures form picture albums and from just stacks of pictures. I knew who most of the people were, wrote the names on the back and wrote the dates on the back. Above is a picture of Mom and Daddy and their two kids - me and Mark at Amanda's wedding in 2002. The last photo is of Mom and me in 1956 - 1 year old little Peggy Sue with almost blond hair! Mom was always so thin - family was everything to her.
Spent Friday going to an estate sale and some garage sales with Kelly and then to the Holy Rosary Salad Bowl Luncheon. Beautiful day to be outside. Made chicken and noodles with homemade noodles (I finally let Mom teach me two years ago) - yummo.
Saturday we were going to Overland Park for Garrison's soccer game when Amanda texted that he was not feeling well, and she was taking him to the doctor instead of soccer. We were halfway there, so we went anyway. Had a good morning playing games, a trip to Costco, and then we brought home BBQ from Burnt Ends BBQ for lunch - Peyton went with Amanda and me. She loves trying out things "the sellers" offer - ended up buying some of them too! Garrison was feeling some better before we left - had had a dose of antibiotics for his cough.
We did donut time at church this morning (now we are done with that for a year), watching Chiefs and will go to our Supper Club tonight - out to eat for a change at El Camino Real Restaurant - looking forward to it. We are babysitting SaraSue Sieger right now while Debbie and Dennis go to a wedding. Slow week.
We are blessed.
