Weekend Bliss

It has been a busy weekend starting with the arrival of the St. Louis Mintuns Friday night. Saturday morning, the Todds arrived. We enjoyed a quick visit at our house before we all went over to Grandma and Grandpa Mintun's for the January birthday celebration (Mary, Joe and Lennys birthdays). Peyton, of course, was the real star. Joe brought his girlfriend, Amy Jones, to meet the family for the first time. She passed inspection! Seems like a very nice girl - we enjoyed spending time with her. She held Peyton and looked like a natural. After a tasty lunch and visiting, we went back to our house where Tara, Kyle and Leah Calton came to meet Peyton and to spend the afternoon visiting us. Peyton slept quite a bit of the time, but it was nice for Leah and Peyton to get to meet each other, especially since their mothers are such great friends. We had a light supper, and then it was time for Peyton's "bedtime ritual" before they went back to Olathe. Wonderful visit - just too short. Peyton is smiling all the time now and is more and more fun all the time. Grammy and Grandpa are in love with her for sure!
