Busy month. "School 2020" continues to be challenging for Peyton and Garrison. Peyton is doing a great job with 100% remote learning (she starts attending hybrid, 2 days a week next week). Garrison is still in hybrid, 2 days a week, and he gets to attend in-person school every day next week. Yay!
We have kept busy attending Garrison's Regulators baseball games and have been to two soccer matches. At soccer, we are required to wear masks 100% of the time, even though it is outside. We sit outside and socially distanced at baseball games. Garrison had his pitching debut and has pitched twice - each time doing a great job. We enjoy the games immensely, and it is great seeing Amanda/family each time. On Monday, we picked up the kids at 3:30 and took them to Culvers for a bite to eat and lively conversation before the game.
Ron had his 2nd annual Arthur Brother golf week. Bryan flew in from Minnesota, and Dennis Sieger joined them this year. Ron also played in the Boy Scout Golf Tournament at Meadowlake. Chad played in the tournament as well, so Amanda and the kids came along to Clinton, and we all had a great 24 hours of playing games and having fun.
Debbie and I traveled to the Amish Stores to stock up on some of their bargains and had a nice outing.
My brother, Mark Mintun, had a diagnosis of bladder cancer and had surgery this month to remove the bladder and have a ostomy put in. Blessed that a few nodules they removed were not cancer. We went to visit him after he arrived at home - no visitors at the hospital due to Covid 19 - and he is recovering nicely. His son, Joe, was also there, and we met his lady friend, Terri Malson who has been caring for him - luckily she is a LPN. He is off work a few weeks while he recovers and will start chemo in a few weeks.
Peyton is big into Tik Tok dances and is playing volleyball, however, we are not allowed to attend due to Covid. She calls and tells us about the matches. She is a delight and has matured so much in the past few months.
We are blessed beyond measure - God is good.
