Imagine my surprise when I clicked into my blog and found pictures!!!! I had just told my sister-in-law, Mary, who checks my blog often that I didn't know how to put pictures on my blog like Amanda puts on hers - well.........my very sweet daughter helped me out and put some great pictures on my blog too of her and Peyton's visit to Clinton yesterday. Thanks Amanda! Amanda usually doesn't put pictures of herself on her blog, so it was nice to see a beautiful picture of mother/daughter on my blog. How nice.
The "day after" the wonderful visit from the Todd girls was a let down. I always miss them terribly right after I have seen them. I miss them every day when I don't get to see them, but the first day after a visit is the worst. I know we are very fortunate to live as close to them as we do, but I can't help wishing we were closer so I could see them more often. I have been very blessed to get to spend lots of time with them since Peyton has been born - for that I am VERY thankful and appreciative. A lot of Grammy's don't get that opportunity.
I was very proud all day, though, to hear from my co-workers how much they enjoyed the visit from Peyton and Amanda and what a pretty baby they think Peyton is and how "hot" they think is Amanda is looking - not even looking like she had a baby 8 weeks ago.
Great-Grandma Mintun commented at coffee this morning that she thought it was a good thing she didn't live any closer to Peyton because she would be wanting to go see her all the time if she did!
Work was very slow today. I took my lunch since it was so cold so I didn't have to go out. We went to the Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation Banquet tonight - good meal of brisket and cheese cake. Doing a little computer "work" now while the electric blanket warms up my bed.
