Valentine Weekend

Grandpa and Grammy ventured to Olathe for a fun-filled 24 hour visit with the Todds. After doing a few things for Amanda at the house, Grammy joined Peyton and Mommy for Peyton's Valentine party at her school - what fun. As if ten 12-24 month old children isn't exciting enough, add dancing and making fruit and yogurt parfaits to the mix, and things are really a hoot. Peyton was thrilled when Mommy and Grammy walked into her room and enjoyed every minute, seemingly as much as we did. Following the party, we went to the Great Mall of the Great Plains to do a little shopping for Peyton at Carter's and Children's Place-always a hit. Peyton's boyfriend, Evan, joined us for a great evening while the four parents went out for a date night together. We had a wonderful time playing with Peyton and Evan. On Saturday morning before coming home, we went to First Watch for a scrumptious breakfast where Grammy helped Peyton learn to suck from a straw - once I told her to suck on it like she did on her pacifier, she mastered it very quickly.
