Garrison's Team Wins Tournament - April 27, 2025

ABA-Piper were the champions of the Liberty baseball tournament this weekend - last weekend in April 2025.

Friday night, Peyton and Amanda met us at the Fish Market Restaurant in Liberty prior to the 6 p.m. dinner for a delicious fish dinner - it's a real dive but has great food, and we love eating there every time Garrison plays in Liberty.

The team won both games Friday night.  Garrison caught the first game and played the outfield and pitched the second game.  He was great at the plate, hitting a single and a double and having a couple of walks.

Sunday, they played at 10 a.m. which they won.  Garrison was the catcher and had a triple and was hit by a pitch.  A player stepped on his ankle at the plate.  Since they won, they played for the championship at 2 p.m. and again won.  Garrison caught both games and had some great hits and base running.  So proud of him.  Between the games, we enjoyed having ballpark food and visiting with each other and the other families.

We had so much fun and are blessed to get to spend time with Amanda and family and to watch our grandkids do what they love.  Thanks to God.

Easter 2025

Garrison's first two track meets of 7th grade were successful.  He placed well at 200 m dash, 100 m dash and long jump.  He's killing it!!!!

I went to a PEO Social - Cookie Decorating.  16 attended.  We had lots of laughs, delicious refreshments and learned how to decorate cookies - all from an egg shape.  It was lots of fun.

Easter Sunday morning was rainy but beautiful.  Marnie and I played the gathering music and did a great job.  I played the organ, and our 8 hands group, Janet, Brenda, Marnie and I played Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring on two pianos.  We played well.

After church, Ron and I drove in the pouring rain to Amanda and Chad's house in Leawood for Easter lunch.  We took homemade rolls and Amanda's favorite broccoli Slaw salad.  They all enjoyed opening their Easter gifts from us prior to Chad's parents joining us for lunch.  Chad fixed garlic butter steak, Amanda made mashed potatoes and Hawaiian bread pudding which were all delicious.  We had a great day and left for home - again driving in the pouring rain - about 3 p.m.

He is Risen - Happy Easter.

Also a pic of Tom Mintun's son, Jomar, who is improving although having a hard time.   We pray for him.

God is good - we are blessed.

Peyton Cheer Banquet & Makes Varsity for 25/26/Garrison's First Baseball Tournament of the Spring 2025

We had a quiet couple of weeks following our trip to Turks & Caicos, but things are picking up again.  Peyton had her end of the year cheer banquet AND was chosen to the VARSITY squad of Cheerleading 2025-2026 Blue Valley Northwest High School!!!!  She is beyond thrilled to be on Varsity this year.  She worked very hard for the tryouts and even missed the first day of clinics due to being sick with a cold all weekend and that Monday - but she made it through it while not feeling very good and was chosen to varsity.

Garrison has gone out for track this year as a 7th grader and is running the 200 yard dash, a relay and the long jump.

Garrison and his ABA/Piper team had their first tournament of the season this weekend, and we went to all three games they played - Saturday and Sunday.  We had a good time catching up with our baseball family and spending time watching with Peyton and Amanda, picking them up both days to go with us.  On Saturday, we all 6 went out for lunch after the games at Coach's and had a great time.

I made a strawberry pie which was good.

We are blessed - God is good.
