Baseball Season Ends for now - June 2025

We went to several of Garrison's park & rec basketball games - the Knights - and enjoyed watching he and his teammates play - 4 of whom he has played on the same team with since they were 4 years old.

My hydrangea bush, which was sent to us when Mom passed away in 2015, finally produced more than one or even zero blooms - 11 this year!!!!  Woo Hoo!

ABA-Piper 13U played in 2 tournaments the last two weeks of the month.  The Todds went to Hot Springs, Arkansas for the baseball tournament down there and dropped off Bingo in Clinton for a Clinton vacation.  He was a good boy, and we enjoyed walking him and having him visit us.  We will pick him up after Garrison's basketball game this Wednesday to stay for 12 days while they vacation in Alaska.  We went both days to the final tournament of the Spring/Summer season in Liberty.  Garrison pitched the first game and had good hits including 2 triples and a single RBI hit during those games.  On Sunday, rain had other ideas and the tournament was cancelled after they played most of the first inning.  But, we enjoyed visiting with Ananda and Peyton and our baseball grandparent friends and others.  Then we went to Sam's Club before we came home.  It was a good day.

When they came after Bingo on Monday, I had baked Amanda her birthday chocolate pie.  She wasn't feeling well, but she took some of the pie home with her.

June was a good month.  I played the organ and/or piano at church four of the five Sundays.  Marnie Bellamy and I continue to enjoy playing together and practice our two-piano pieces every Monday for an hour or so.

Ron went to the neurologist for his headaches and had a MRI and had some heart tests which were okay.  Will have a pulmonary test and sleep test coming up.

God is good - we are blessed.

Emily Arthur/Paul Miracle Wedding Weekend

On Friday, June 6, 2025, Amanda, Chad, Peyton, Garrison, Ron and I all attended the wedding picnic of Emily Arthur (our niece) and Paul Mirabile at the Parkville Park.  It was nice to catch up with many family members during a beautiful day and lovely picnic.

The night before, Thursday night, Ron and I traveled to Overland Park to watch Garrison play rec basketball with his regular team.  We picked Peyton up at home for her to ride with us.  Amanda was in Seattle and unable to go to the game.  They didn't win, but Garrison played good.

The picture of Joe Mintun and his wife, Nicole, is from their trip to Norway.  Sweet couple.

I played the organ at church Sunday and the gathering music and offertory with my two piano partner, Marnie Bellamy.  We have been playing together for about 8 years and we really enjoy it.

God is good - we are blessed.
