January 2014
Pretty slow week. Monday brought more snow, although not too much. Very cold the first part of the week.
On Saturday, Ron and I traveled to Overland Park to see Amanda/family and to pick up Apollo for his Clinton vacation (while we go to Disney later in the month). We arrived to jumping children meeting us at the door - it was soooooo cool. Peyton was excited we were there and was jumping - I think Garrison was jumping because Peyton was jumping! The kids loved showing us our "bracelets" for Disney World which we will wear at all times as they open our room doors, are our entry to the parks, are our dining plan entry, etc. Chad got out the maps, and we heard all about our trip through the eyes of the kids. Peyton knew a lot about what we would be doing. Garrison has it down what the Epcot symbol is! It was a blast talking about and anticipating our trip. Peyton did her gymnastics floor routine/dance for us which was quite nice. Peyton, Garrison and I played a game of build-a-cupcake (not sure of the real name). Then we all went to Jack Stack BBQ for a tasty lunch. Peyton was so sweet and shared her sandwich with her brother because he liked what she ordered better than what he ordered! It was a very nice meal and visit.
After getting back to their house, Ron, Apollo and I started back to Clinton with a few shopping stops along the way. Apollo was very, very good in the car (Ron was too).
On Sunday, Apollo went to Grammaw's with me for coffee and stayed for the day. Ron and I went to church and then took a 2 mile walk after returning home - before it got so windy! Pork chops for lunch and visited with Mom in the afternoon.
The picture of Peyton and Garrison was this morning before they went to church - aren't they just adorable!
All in all, a great week and weekend. We are blessed.
