We had a welcomed visitor Wednesday night - Friday afternoon - Amanda needed a quiet place to work while their hardwood floors were being installed, so to Clinton she came. It was lovely having her here by herself. I declared Thursday "Amanda day" - so she got to choose everything we ate, etc. I had already bought her cream cheese squares - without the pecans - from Blue Ribbon - she had a BLT for lunch - I made Grandma's fudge - and Pizza Glen for dinner. She worked a lot, but there were moments here and there between calls we were able to catch up. It was wonderful.
Amanda, Peyton and Garrison came for Father's Day. We put Amanda to work! She went to Walmart to buy us a new router and ROKU and installed them both. We had roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, carrots and cherry pie and ice cream for lunch. They went home fairly early so they could go to the pool with other neighbor families, but we sure enjoyed the visit filled with games of Crazy 8's, Hot Potato and Play Nine. Lots of laughs and hugs too.
We are blessed - God is good.

Regulator's Baseball and Garrison's First Communion June 2020
Thursday night, we watched Garrison's first baseball game of the season via zoom due to grandparents not being allowed to attend with the new Covid 19 rules. Garrison played good and had a great time.
Friday we received word that the rules had been relaxed and that we could attend Saturday's game - so we did!! It was an early call - 8:30 a.m. game, so we left town at 6:15 a.m. We went by the house first then went with them to the game. It was hot, but we enjoyed every minute. Garrison caught a pop fly for an out. He batted good and had fun.
Mark came for lunch Saturday - fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and strawberry shortcake. We had a great visit and lunch was yummy.
Sunday morning, we watched church on Facebook. Then we drove to OP for Garrison's First Holy Communion Mass. He was so dapper in his gray suit and was proud he chose his tie. We had to wear masks the whole time, but we were blessed to get to witness this milestone in his life. We went to their house for chocolate chip cookie cake. An enjoyable day.

First 2 weeks in June 2020
Things are improving from Covid 19 Stay at Home - slowly. We were blessed with an overnight visit from Peyton and Garrison at the very end of May. A quick 24 hours, but we were thrilled.
We traveled to OP to take them home and had a nice visit with Amanda and Chad too.
The first weekend in June, we picked up the kids around noon on Friday - we went to Freddy's for lunch - ate outside on one of their tables after wiping it down thoroughly with Lysol wipes - no one close to us - even had ice cream sundaes. Friday night, Ron took the kids to the Meadowlake pool for a short swim - Garrison is doing good with his diving. On Saturday, Ron and Garrison played 4 holes of golf and had a fantastic time, but it was very hot and humid. As soon as they returned home, Ron and Garrison went back to the pool for an hour long fun time swimming. While they were gone, Peyton and I baked a scratch red velvet cake. She was so grown up, finding the recipe and how to substitute regular flour for cake flour, measuring and mixing, greasing the pans, making cream cheese frosting and frosting the cake - she did it all!!!! I was so proud of her. We had BBQ meatballs, rice, corn on the cob and crescent rolls. Peyton chose a movie for us to have relaxing time together. We fixed ham, build a baked potato and Mac and cheese for dinner - both kids helping. Peyton and I made a homemade bath bomb from a kit. We all played Crazy 8's, Old Maid and Trouble. They made poster-size birthday cards for their Mom. They enjoyed leisurely baths, and then Garrison chose a movie for us to watch before bed.
Sunday morning, Ron and Peyton dropped me off at church while Garrison stayed at home by himself for 10 minutes. I played piano duets with my partner, Marnie Bellamy, the gathering, offering and special music, and I played the hymns with organist Sam Lucas - still Facebook only for this Sunday - in-person church starts next week. They all picked me up after church at 9 to head to OP because Garrison had baseball practice at 11 a.m. We took Momma her cards and cake and sang Happy Birthday to her - her birthday is Thursday. Garrison and Chad had to go to baseball practice, but the rest of us ordered carry out from Chipotle and had a nice lunch together - sitting in the bedroom (the only room with furniture on the main floor ha ha) and had a piece of birthday cake before we came home. A wonderful 3 days with family!!!!
Sunday evening we gathered with our Dessert Club friends at David and Deb Mills' house for a lovely evening on the patio, visiting and strawberry pie.
We continue staying home most of the time - online shopping only at Walmart (I did run into Price Chopper on our way to OP Friday with my mask on) - Ron plays golf and tennis - I practice weekly with Marnie at church - I have Bible Study weekly at a shelter house at the park (outside and social distanced). We get to go to Garrison's first communion on Sunday - can't wait.
We are blessed - God is good!!!!
