We attended two hayrides/picnics at High Bank, Gus & Susie Wetzel's farm - first one for P.E.O. - second one was a church gathering. We had a lot of fun with friends - lovely weather for both.
On Monday, 9/22, we went to see Peyton cheer at the JV football game at BVNW. We had a fun evening watching her and visiting with Amanda - the boys were at baseball.
We went to Liberty on Saturday, 9/28/2024 to watch Garrison's baseball tournament. Garrison had a great evening of baseball - had a double and had some good plays as catcher. On the way home, it was very dark, and Ron missed the exit off 210 onto 435. He tried to swerve and correct and hit a big curb which immediately blew both tires on the driver's side. Thankfully, we weren't hurt and didn't hurt anyone else or any property damage. It was a long evening of talking to roadside assistance and American Family Insurance. 911 was great - deputy sheriff's arrived promptly and were helpful. A tow truck came and loaded the car as it was not drivable and took us to meet Amanda and Peyton who brought us to Clinton, spent the night and went back the next morning for more baseball. ABA won the 8 am game but lost at noon. We hope to find out when they will fix our vehicle and when we can get it back on Monday.
Peyton and some other cheerleaders went to an event meeting a classmate of hers who was riding 150 miles, legally blind, on his bike to raise money for a disease he has that only 35 other Americans have. They were on TV which we recorded. She looked beautiful as always.
We were so blessed to be safe during the car accident. God is good and we are blessed.
