Super Bowl 54 - Chiefs Win - January/February 2020
It's been a busy few weeks - January 2020 and first week in February 2020. Garrison had a big few weeks - his first reconciliation toward his first communion with the Catholic Church - in May 2020; He won second in his troop for the pine wood derby - Cub Scouts. At the Blue and Gold Banquet for Scouts, his cake (his Mom and he made it) won first place - he was thrilled - Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) head, hair and headband. Grammy and Grandpa bought it in the auction for $100.
We went to Overland Park a few times to see Garrison play indoor soccer and basketball and to spend time with the Todds - out to lunch at fun places - shopping with Peyton for her Daddy/Daughter Dance dress - her final one for 5th grade - isn't she just gorgeous??????
The Todds were extra busy getting their pictures taken at Union Station with Chiefs signs - tubing with the artificial snow in North Kansas City with the Ungel family.
We all enjoyed watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years and the subsequent parade. Fun times. Mark came to watch most of the Chiefs games with us - we had a Super Bowl party for the 3 of us - lots of good snacks and fun watching it. Mark spent the night and went to KC the next morning for work.
Joe and Nicole are engaged and will be getting married at the end of February 2020. Mark is having a celebratory gathering for them in April at his place.
It has been 2 years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I feel blessed to be feeling good now and hopeful my mammogram will be clear at the end of the month. God is good - we are blessed.
