January Day in Olathe - 2012

Busy weekend! Mark, Joe and Tom arrived in Clinton Friday late afternoon for a weekend visit - with crappie in hand! We all enjoyed a delicious fish dinner at Mom's.

On Saturday, Ron and I arrived in Olathe around 8:15 a.m. for the day - and what a great day it was. After visiting for a short time with us, Amanda and Chad took advantage of built-in child care and went for massages. We had a great time with the kids while they were gone.

Peyton and I made another batch of pinkalicious cupcakes - she loves to bake! While the cupcakes were cooling, we all went to Olive Garden for lunch. Peyton is such a hoot while eating out, and baby Garrison is so sweet and takes it all in - such a good baby.

Mommy took Peyton to Victoria's birthday party (classmate), Garrison was napping under the care of Grandpa and Daddy, so Grammy ran a few errands late afternoon.

Amanda and Chad, dressed to the nines and looking great, went to dinner at Bone Fish while Grammy and Grandpa had the opportunity to spend the evening with Peyton and Chad - alone! We had a fantastic time.

Grandma, Mark, Joe and Tom enjoyed Pizza Glen in Clinton before Joe and Tom headed home. On Sunday, I fixed fried chicken for Ron, Mom, Mark and me before Mark went back to St. Louis.

Great weekend - we celebrated Joe's and Mary's birthdays - even though Mary was not able to be here - we sent her treats home and some of her favorite, Italian Cream Cake.

Happy New Year 2012

Oops - got one of the pictures in there twice, and I have no idea how to remove it. Enjoy it twice!

Busy week. Ron had the week off and enjoyed some peace and quiet at home and accomplished a few honey dos too!

On Friday, Ron, Grammaw and I headed to Olathe to spend the day with Amanda and the kids while Chad played golf. We had a great time. As you can see, Garrison has found his feet and loves putting them in his mouth. Peyton loved playing with some of her Christmas toys with us and just enjoying having fun.

We headed to do a little shopping and had lunch at Red Robin - one of Peyton's favorites. We topped off our burgers with mile high turtle pie - yummo.

Ron and I attended Nina and Huntley Summers' wedding and then went out to dinner at Short Street in Montrose with the Mills, Townsends and Cupps - nice to spend some time with the "old" gang.

New Years Eve Ron played golf. I spent some time with Mom, then she came home with me and helped me mark garage sale things for the Snowflake Garage Sale January 28. We went to Siegers for a New Years Eve dinner which was good - home around 10 p.m. - we're old.

Church today (New Years Day), now chili at Mom's. Mark and Mary invited us for a fish fry - Mark caught lots of fish this weekend - very unseasonably warm - but we are taking a rain check for later in January.

2012 is starting off good!
