6/11/22 - 7/20/22

It's been a busy time since we celebrated Amanda's 41st birthday!  We watched several baseball, sand volleyball and basketball games during this 5 week period.

Garrison and Chad finished their time as Regulators - Chad was the head coach and Garrison was a pitcher, catcher and infielder and also a great batter.  Chad had coached a few of the boys on the team since they were 4 years old.  Garrison has tried out for several more challenging teams and has accepted an offer to play for the ABA Club Baseball organization.  He is unsure what position he will play yet - practice starts in a couple of weeks.

Peyton's final sand volleyball game was cancelled, so her team picture is in their swimsuits at their end of season swim party.  She plans to try out for her 8th grade middle school volleyball team.

Peyton has been babysitting for twin 2 year old boys one day a week for a few ours and for Andrew Perryman who is 9 and lives down the street off and on this summer.  She even has her own Venmo account for her "clients" to deposit her pay into!  Too funny.  She's 13!

Garrison and Chad attended Scout Camp for 3 days during a very hot period.  When they were there, Grandpa and Grammy went to Overland Park to spend Saturday with Amanda and Peyton - shopping and eating at Jumbo Noodles.  We had a blast.   They let me pick out new earrings for my birthday, and Peyton picked out some shorts from Lululemon and a back pack from Vera Bradley for Grammy to buy her!

They didn't get to come to Clinton for Olde Glory Days as Amanda returned from Seattle a few days before with Covid 19.  She was pretty sick - respiratory and fatigue - she lost her sense of smell - and she was very diligent in isolating in the Main Room and didn't give it to anyone else thankfully.

Ron played in the GVMH Foundation Golf Tournament with Dennis Sieger, Mike Edgett and Mark Vogt - and they won 1st place in B Flight - $325 was won by each of them - the most Ron has ever won in a golf tournament.

I entered several items in the Henry County Fair and won 2 blue, 2 purple and 2 red ribbons - a total of $28 in winnings!!!!  I donated $18 to our PEO Treasury.

Amanda, Peyton and Garrison came to Clinton for overnight in mid-July.  We decided to have a "Clinton Birthday Party" for Garrison.   Grammy baked and decorated his birthday cake - requested in detail by the birthday boy - 6 layers, 2 of vanilla cake, 2 of chocolate cake and 2 of red velvet cake with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry mousse filling respectively.  Frosted with white frosting, cream cheese frosting and chocolate frosting.  He will be turning 11 on the same day I turn 67, July 29, 2022.  He loved his cake and his presents!!!!  We had fun playing poker, Kings in the Corners and Trash and visiting.

I am serving as the "point person" for our church to schedule pianists and organists to play for the two services on Sundays until a new organist can be found.  My piano partner, Marnie Bellamy and I took the first Sunday - I played the organ and she played the piano.  We are blessed to have several to share this task for a few months.

Ron and I were exposed to Covid 19 with a close contact, so we are self-isolating for 5 days as recommended by the CDC.  Its is so hot, it will be a good weekend to stay in and watch movies.

We love our God and our family - we are blessed.
