April 2022

It's been a wonderful month full of family time - volleyball games - flag football games - and baseball games.  We have been fortunate enough to attend them all!!!!

The kids have been here twice for a night or two, and we have loved it.  We have played poker, golf, baked - you name it.  The last weekend in April, Debbie Sieger and I had a garage sale, and on Saturday, Garrison sold cookies and beverages, making $83.  He ran out of product twice, so Peyton and Grandpa came to the rescue and baked more pre-made cookies and brought them for him to sell.  We all had a good time.

There were games Easter Saturday when we usually celebrate, so we all went to the games, I took eggs for an Easter egg hunt and their Easter baskets to their house, then we all went to Rye for an Easter dinner which was delicious.  We had a great time.

Peyton and her dad went to her Cotillion dance - she looked beautiful.  Mom and Garrison went to his 4th grade boy Mom and Son event at The Main Event and had a good time.

I have played two-piano duets with Marnie Bellamy at church several times during April - gathering and special music.  We practice every week and have a great time playing together and have formed a lasting friendship.

We are blessed - God is good!

February 22 - March 2022

After returning from our vacation, the next day we drove to watch Peyton cheerlead at the Middle School basketball game.  She did a great job.

Amanda and Garrison went to the Mother/Son Event for Cottonwood Point Elementary and had a great time.

We went to see Garrison's basketball tournament - they played great but ended up losing by one point in overtime.  They had a good season.

Marnie and I played the gathering music and offertory at church and then I played alone one Sunday - received a lot of compliments on my offertory - Gentle Hearts.  We enjoy practicing every Monday for 2 hours.

Ron and I have been assisting Jennifer Kiely with the Lenten Luncheons at church each Wednesday.  We missed one week when Ron had a retina specialist appointment which went well.  The fluid behind his retina has subsided, and his vision is now 20/30 in that eye instead of 20/60 which it had been about 3 weeks before.  God is good.

Chad and Garrison flew to Phoenix for Spring Break - Spring Training for the Royals.  Since they had been on strike, they only watched practices, but he received many autographs and had a blast.  They also hiked and had fun eating out.

Since they were gone, Amanda, Peyton and Bingo traveled to Clinton for an overnight visit.  We went through the safes and decided which coins that Grandpa had left us we were going to sell and separated them.  By morning, Amanda had decided she could not do it, so we put them all back!!!  We had their favorite meals, went to Chel's for fancy coffee, shopped at The Bluebird Mercantile and enjoyed visiting.  Peyton baked 2 dozen cupcakes for us to take to church the next day for the Lenten Luncheon.  We had a great time.

Not to be left out, we went to pick Garrison up on Sunday and brought him to Clinton for an overnight visit.  He had his favorite meals, played 9 holes of golf with Grandpa, painted a picture on canvas, and decorated Easter cookies.  We had a blast during his short visit.

We also went to Peyton's band concert.  They did a great job, and we enjoyed spending time having dinner with them that Chad had fixed.

We have had crazy weather - snow and sunny days in the 80's!!!  We are blessed, and God is good.
