Fun times in Clinton this past weekend - Amanda and family arrived Friday evening - and the fun began! Ron, Chad and Amanda played golf Saturday morning at Clinton Country Club while Grammaw, Peyton, Garrison and Grammy played and played. Peyton enjoyed dressing up in EVERYTHING in the dress up box. Garrison had fun just having fun and smiling. We all had taco salads for lunch. Ron and Chad played golf again in the afternoon while Peyton, Garrison, Amanda and Grammy went to the Aquatic Center for Peyton to demonstrate her new swim skills - she is good. Garrison enjoyed splashing in the zero entry pool. We went to Grammaw's afterward where Peyton rode her "new" bike, and Garrison played with measuring spoons and cups. Dinner followed and the MU game.
On Sunday, Grammy and Peyton went to the donut shop. Mark and Mary joined us for a delicious lunch and visiting.
Another awesome day visiting our favorite people in Olathe. We played, read, played, and played some more. Peyton seemed to like Garrison's new Easter book better than hers! His "sings" Here Comes Peter Cottontail as you turn the pages. We read them both several times. It was a beautiful day to be outside. Grandpa adn Peyton played on her play set for a while - she drove her car with the neighbor kids and rode her bike (and crashed, skinning her knee, requiring a bandaid). All fun.
We met Amanda and the kids at the KC Zoo on Saturday - what a wonderful day! Peyton and Garrison both rode the carousel - Garrison's first ride ever! We saw many animals - polar bear was probably the high point. Ride the train and the tram - a hit with Peyton. Garrison is so mellow and laid back - he didn't cry once all day and just enjoyed it all. Took a little snooze in the stroller - a good time was had by all! We missed Chad who stayed home to get some outdoor projects done without so much "help" - ha ha. Beautiful, warm weather - a sea of green (St. Patrick's Day).
