Peyton's Blue Valley Northwest Huskies Marching Band performed at a band contest at K-State University and received a I rating - the best. She rode the bus with the band but rode home with her parents and Garrison who went to watch.
We went to Peyton's BVNW Football Game at Blue Valley West to see her cheer. The cheerleaders wore pink bows for breast cancer awareness month - she had my name on her bow as a survivor - warmed my heart.
We went to Garrison's first band concert of the year at Oxford Middle School. They played amazingly well - only a few weeks of school to practice. New band director too.
We could see the northern lights out our patio and took a picture.
Our dear friends, David and Deb Mills, renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary. We went, and I ended up taking pictures. We had a delicious BBQ dinner and had fun visiting with our dessert club friends, some church friends and others we hadn't seen for a while - plus the Mills children/families. It was special and fun.
We went to Garrison's ABA Piper Baseball game on Friday night at Homefield in Lenexa. We had a good time with the Mickelson's. Garrison had a great game - 2 hits and caught the game, but they lost.
Ron had a "job" taking a lady back to the airport, so I rode along, and we went to Smithville to pick up the Acadia after being held hostage following our mishap with the tires for 17 days. Good to be a two-car family again.
We have a great life - God is good - we are blessed.
