Palm Sunday and Easter 2021

We celebrated Easter on Palm Sunday this year.  Before Amanda, Chad, Peyton and Garrison arrived, Ron and I went to church where Marnie Bellamy, Sam Lucas and I played the prelude and the special music.

We had indoor and outdoor Easter egg hunts before we had lunch - ham, mashed potatoes, broccoli slaw salad, corn, asparagus, fluffy cherry salad, rolls, cheesecake and tea.  We had a lovely day.

Mark and his friend, Teri Malson, are coming for lunch on Easter Sunday.  Ron and I will go to the 8:15 a.m. service at church where Marnie and I are playing the gathering music, prelude and special music.

We are blessed - God is good.

First 3 weeks of March 2021

We went to OP to take the kids out to lunch at Yaya's before they left on their trip to Florida.  They flew into Ft. Lauderdale and spent 6 days at a Disney Resort close by - enjoying a slow-paced vacation on the beach and at the pool at the resort.  They had wonderful meals out and just enjoyed relaxing and soaking up the warm weather.

Ron and I painted our lawn furniture during a warm day.  Spring is here - the hostas are up about 1/2 inch. The grass is greening up.

I played the piano at church one Sunday, and Marnie and I played duets one Sunday and we will be playing both Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.

Ron has returned to playing tennis on Tuesdays at the Benson Center since we have both had our Covid 19 vaccines.  We have gone back to church.  I went to PEO meeting - everyone wore masks.   I am going to Bible Study again on Wednesdays - again with everyone wearing masks.  We went to Dessert Club for the first time in many months - everyone has had the Covid 19 vaccines.  Life is somewhat back to normal.

We went to Overland Park on March 21 to take everyone out to breakfast at The Big Biscuit.  Afterwards, Peyton, Amanda and I went to Dollar Tree and looking at statuary while Garrison and Chad went to baseball practice.  After he got home, we brought Garrison home with us for a quick overnight visit.

We crammed a lot into 24 hours - golf x 2, dyed and colored eggs in shaving cream then hid them outside, he had a mini-Easter egg hunt inside with plastic eggs, we frosted and decorated sugar cookies, watched The Hustler and Shark Tank, which he likes better than cartoons now.  We had McDonald's and fettuccini Alfredo.  We bought ice cream from the new HANNA BANANA ice cream shop for the ride home.  We had a blast and enjoyed having him by himself.  Peyton didn't get to come because she had an orthodontist appointment.

We are looking forward to the Todds coming for our Easter celebration on Palm Sunday, and Mark and his friend, Teri, will come for Easter Sunday lunch.  I'm only playing at the 8:15 service.

We are blessed - God is good.
