Olde Glory Days 2011

We had 4 fantastic, fun-filled days during Olde Glory Days this year. Amanda, Chad, Peyton and Apollo arrived late afternoon on Friday and stayed until Monday afternoon. We had sooooo much fun.

Peyton enjoyed visiting with Great Grandma Mintun a few times - blowing bubbles, sidewalk chalk, riding her tricycle and eating watermelon.

Friday evening, Peyton rode the ponies - yes, she really rode this year, and had a great time jumping around in the jumping house of the carnival. Saturday morning we all went to the parade - Grandpa drove the Hawthorn Bank golf cart entry. Peyton had a wonderful time watching all the floats, bands, etc., but especially liked picking up the candy! Back to the carnival Saturday night where she again rode the ponies, rode the carousel and jumped in the jumping house again. She had such a great time. She fell asleep VERY quickly Saturday night.

Ron and Chad enjoyed playing golf three times with Mike, Dennis and John - they were hot, but had a great time. Amanda always likes to go to El Sambre and Pizza Glen when in Clinton - we didn't make it to Pizza Glen this time, but we did have dinner at ElSambre Sunday evening.

It was a great Olde Glory Days weekend - good old fashioned family fun.
