It's Friday

What a week! It started with the two great "Peyton Days" in Olathe visiting Amanda, Chad, Peyton and Apollo. The rest of the week has been very busy. Choir practice started at church again after a 3 week break following Christmas. We had a good crowd, and it was fun. Work has been very busy - it's appraisal time, a time I absolutely hate. Rating 11 employees on five different components each - trying to be honest while at the same time being tactful - is stressful, hard work! Today I played the piano/organ for a funeral at our church. I'm anticipating a semi-busy, semi-relaxing weekend. Going to give my Mom a permanent tomorrow morning, and Ron and I are going to the Elks Celebration Dinner tomorrow night with friends. Church on Sunday - then starting to organize my "treasures" for sale at the Snowflake Garage Sale coming up 1/31 at the Benson Center.

Next Wednesday, weather permitting, Amanda and Peyton are planning a trip to Clinton to meet Grammy and Grandpa's co-workers and friends. We are really looking forward to it.

Sitting here thinking about how blessed I am - here are just a few of my blessings - in no particular order:
A beautiful, caring, intelligent and sweet daughter, Amanda
A beautiful, healthy and sweet granddaughter, Peyton
A 35 year marriage to a wonderful man, Ron
A son-in-law, Chad, who loves and adores our daughter and granddaughter
Parents who are both 80 years old and are still able to live in their own home
A brother, sister-in-law and nephews who I love and am close to
Murray and Apollo (and Lenny)
Friends and church family
A job I enjoy
Peyton and Amanda
God-given musical talent and a venue to share it
Amanda and Peyton
A comfortable home
Relatively good health
Peyton and Amanda
List could go on and on - I'm one fortunate lady!
