Since I have had to increase my Prednisone dosage to keep the chronic hives away, I am not sleeping much - my days usually start around 4 a.m. I'm not getting enough sleep, but I sure am getting a lot of things done in those early morning hours! Yesterday morning I walked on the treadmill and organized and marked things for the Snowflake Garage Sale coming up 1/31. This morning I made chili for lunch after church and walked on the treadmill.
We had a good time at the Elks Celebration Dinner last night to celebrate the new building after the collapse 2 years ago. We went with the Siegers and sat with the Eatons and Ammons as well - great food (brisket, scalloped potatoes, etc.) and fun visiting.
Church was uneventful - choir sang and did a good job. This afternoon I baked rolls - my assignment to bring to the Super Bowl Party at the Ammons on 2/1. Lasagna is the main course, so rolls should go good.
We are anxiously awaiting Amanda's and Peyton's visit to Clinton on Wednesday of this week. Grammy and Grandpa can't wait to hug and kiss our little precious girl, and there are a lot of Clintonians anxious to meet Peyton. Grandma Mintun is fixing lunch for all of us - fried chicken and chocolate pie (except for Peyton of course).
We are so happy Peyton is setting records for sleeping - 8 p.m. to 5:45 a.m. two nights in a row - exceptional! At 7 weeks old, pretty good - and then she goes back to sleep for an hour or so. Mommy and Daddy have been able to get some good rest in, which is great.
I agree - the sleep is great! :) It is now 8:00 and she is still snoozing this morning - she must have been tired!!!
